Human Resources Generalist
Full-Time
The HR Generalist provides coverage in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, compliance, recognition and rewards, learning and organizational development, and record keeping.
- Recruitment responsibilities for an assigned segment of the organization.
- Coordinates clinical student experiences.
- Attend job fairs and virtual events.
- Develops recruitment materials (in coordination with the Marketing Department) such as job ads, brochures, displays, and giveaways.
- Creates job ads, employee posters, and visual employee communications.
- Facilitates and develops New Hire Orientation as requested.
- Processes new hire and employee paperwork.
- Conducts file audits and other HR audits.
- Processes status change forms.
- Conducts new hire and annual background checks.
- Performance review coordination and tracking (PMTS).
- Continuing Education (CE) coordination.
- Ensures timely performance reviews are administered by supervisors.
- Coordinates employee satisfaction surveys annually or as required.
- Delivers value-added service to supervisors and employees that reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Reports out weekly on assigned KPI’s.
- Conducts and analyzes exit interviews to identify issues and opportunities for improvement and presents recommendations to Director of Human Resources on a quarterly basis.
- Maintains employee HR communication platforms (SharePoint) and develop employee communications and communications through multiple channels.
- Coordinates FMLA and other protected leaves.
- Coordinates policy reviews through Policy Tech.
- CPR/BLS renewals and tracking.
- Completes verbal and written employment verifications.
- Completes file-backs.
- Ensures compliance posters are renewed and posted at all sites.
- Coordinates birth and memorial gifts for employees.
- RWHC, NHSC, and other HR related compliance reporting.
- Runs People Analytics from the HRIS.
- Assists in pulling reports from the HRIS.
- HRIS audit and processing.
- Creates and enhances HR SOP’s for continues process improvement.
- Updates and creates HR forms, check lists, and informational PDF packets.
- Coordinates EAP communication and wellness initiatives.
- Coordinates and track annual compliance acknowledgements.
- Maintains the organizational chart.
- Coordinates employee events and recognition activities.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks; participating in professional committees and staying current with HR best practices.
- Must adhere to FHLC policies and procedures.
- Regular and Reliable Attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Business, Organizational Communication, or related field strongly preferred.
- SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources in organizations with at least one hundred full-time employees preferred.
- Well versed in HR employment practices and law preferred.
- Community health center or general healthcare environment experience preferred.
- Experience working within HRIS, PMTS, and LMS software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
- CPR/BLS certification required within six months of hire.
